Will joined the team at Marlon Blackwell Architects in April 2021 after living in New York City for 6 years. During his time in the Big Apple, Will worked with Handel Architects collaborating on the design and project management of large mixed-use, multi-family developments. He also worked with Front designing specialized facade systems, from schematic design through construction administration, for a wide range of building types.
The recipient of degrees in both landscape architecture and architecture, Will is passionate about blurring disciplinary boundaries. While in graduate school at Georgia Tech he held teaching assistantships in the second-year construction technology courses and an introductory course on modern art and architecture in which he focused lessons on integrating site and building: designing with the land and keeping natural ecologies in mind.
Will is particularly interested in the building envelopes’ ability, both technically and experientially, to mediate between inside and outside engaging both fields of practice. He believes architecture has the potential to create harmonies between the built and natural environment whether at the scale of a site, building or detail.
