Jonathan joined Marlon Blackwell Architects in the fall of 2022. After graduating from the University of Southern California in 2017, Jonathan worked at HKS Architects (Los Angeles office), where he was a Design Fellow. Jonathan was part of a team that designed a neonatal unit in Uganda. He had the opportunity to visit the country, where his tasks ranged from site documentation to installing a weather station.

Jonathan then joined Heather Young Architects in Palo Alto, California, where he worked in all phases of commercial and high-end residential projects. While in Palo Alto, he joined the ACE Mentorship Program and guided a group of high school students in a semester-long design project.

Jonathan seeks to design spaces that will engage with and benefit the community, regardless of the project’s program or scale. He is also particularly interested in learning about historical and cultural contexts of spaces and regions, and seeks to apply this knowledge in the design process.
