Carla joined Marlon Blackwell Architects in the fall of 2021. After graduating from the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design in 2017, Carla joined Studio Rick Joy in Tucson, AZ where she primarily worked on high end residential projects abroad. After her time there, she returned home to Panama City, Panama where she was born and raised. Working for the local firm Mallol Arquitectos, she was part of a team designing large scale, public projects across Latin America. Having worked with diverse project teams across the world, Carla aspires to bring a broader, more inclusive view of design forward in her work..
