Bachelor of Interior Design, 2020
University of Arkansas
Sloan received her Interior Design degree from the University of Arkansas, graduating Summa Cum Laude and the Senior Scholar of the Fay Jones School of Architecture + Design. She amassed a collection of school and university recognitions from her design work, and later would place in several national competitions. Sloan has had additional studies in communication analyzing film, media, and modern-day representational issues. It is through that passion that Sloan believes design is a medium of communication. Her studies have taken her to 11 different countries, the two most notable at the UARK Rome Center, and the Fay Jones School Latin America Urban Studio in Mexico City. She has previously worked for Gensler Seattle and Somewhere Studio of Arkansas, as well as independent design work of her own. In 2020, Sloan was selected as 1 of 25 graduates internationally to collaborate with YACademy of Bologna and David Chipper Field Architects to design the next rotating exhibit at the Museum of Lamborghini. She believes spaces speak, not just to designers, but to everyone.
