Nick joined the team at Marlon Blackwell Architects in the summer of 2021 after practicing eight years in Dallas. The course of his career reflects an intentional intersection between experience on varying scales and a commitment to craft and detail. His work leading the design and overseeing construction of thoughtful and meticulously detailed interventions to a Robert A.M. Stern Architects-designed estate is a noted example of his approach and sensibilities.
His dedication to craft is supported and informed by a dedication to architecture beyond traditional practice. He is currently a member of the AIA’s Leadership Academy and has served as a dedicated contributor within his local chapters. His involvement with AIA Dallas’ Communities by Design committee is a notable example, where Nick amplified the Chapter’s stance on critical community issues while mentoring those emerging in the profession to take ownership of their city.
The aforementioned qualities have shaped Nick as an urbanist at heart. He believes that architecture is not only a platform to create successful projects for his clients but also for the community at large by crafting meaningful places for all people at all scales – from an individual room to the manner in which a building relates to the urban fabric of our beloved cities.
