Heather joined Marlon Blackwell Architect in June 2012. Prior to moving to Northwest Arkansas, she has gained professional and educational experiences through various internships, research groups, and travels abroad. While at Washington University, she has had the opportunity to study and travel in Helsinki and Buenos Aires, assist in research for sustainable design with project BETAR (Building Envelope Technology for Adaptive Reuse), and was involved with the Alberti Program, a problem-solving workshop which aims to teach children the role of sustainable architecture in their community. Beyond Wash. U, she has interned at local firms in her hometown of Baltimore, Maryland, including Harkins Builders, Inc., Johns Hopkins Architectural Facilities, Ziger/Snead Architects, and most recently at Christof Jantzen Architecture in Los Angeles. Along with working at Marlon Blackwell Architect, Heather will have the opportunity to teach studio this fall at University of Arkansas Fay Jones School of Architecture.
