Franklin, North Carolina (unbuilt) 1992

A 500 sq. ft. residence, for a sixty five year old bachelor, to be occupied primarily in the summer and fall. An emphasis of the structure desired by the client included the efficiency of space, the integration of the automobile, and a minimum of walls. The structure is situated along the natural axis of a gently sloping site with a view of a small mountain ridge to the south. Primary materials include wood structure, concrete block, and metal shingles.
